Alcy's Luncheon July 25th 2014

Hi Ladies,
This is Alcy our cook for the month of July.  The luncheon was great, and Pat and Nancy came over early to help, that was so sweet of them to do this.  Alcy wants to thank everyone who helped in some way to get her luncheon on and off the table, and those who helped cook.

Marilyn and Clarisse could not attend and they were missed by all.
Alcy gave us each a little devotional book, thanks Alcy.  She is moving just across the street and building a new home right by her daughter Cindy and son-in-law Steve, and Steve designed the home and it is beautiful, and everything that Steve does is very nice, he is amazing, he has an eye for design and knows how to make it happen.  Stevie you are the BEST!
Next luncheon is at Sandy's!!!
She is the cook for August.

Pat and Nancy came over early to help out, so sweet of them.
Pat is cooking the pork loin and Nancy is making the cheese bread.

 Alcy Style BBQ Sliced Pork

½ cup yellow mustard
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup packed light brown sugar
1 ½ tablespoon mustard powder
2 teaspoons hot sauce
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, meted
8 pork loin sliced thin
Vegetable oil, for brushing

Preheat grill to medium.  Whish the yellow mustard, vinegar,
Brown sugar, mustard powder, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce,
½ teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste in a bowl.  Whisk in the butter.

Season the pork with salt and pepper, then toss with about
one-third of the mustard sauce in a large bowl until coated.  Let sit
at room temperature, 10 minutes.

Brush the grill generously with vegetable oil.  Put about ¼ cup
of the remaining mustard sauce in a small bowl for basting and reserve the rest for topping.
Grill the pork covered, basting occasionally
with the sauce, until done.
